Meet Adoptees

Meet our longest resident: Boots!

Boots has been with Strayhaven Animal Shelter since 2017. He came to us from Trumbull County Pound.

He is one of our most well-trained dogs. He has gone through the CARE Program, where he learned basic obedience. Boots has also completed the Reactivity Classes with Canine Campus located in Hubbard, OH.

Boots enjoys meeting other dogs, going on walks, and cheezin’ for treats!

He is a dog that we consider to be “Stranger Danger”; meaning he is very fearful of newcomers. Boots requires a HANDS OFF meet first, then as he earns your trust through several meets- you may take him for a walk.

Boots requires a home where he can feel safe; where he is able to thrive without surprises or excess stimulation. Boots does not get along with cats and would be best suited for a home without socially active children.
